The Kraftwerk ITX47 is a dedicated input transformer for REDD-47 style tube stages, designed to capture vintage character, harmonic richness, and musical dynamics right at the front end of the signal path.
Inspired by the original REDD.47 input transformer, the ITX47 uses a 1+1 : 7 winding structure on a Permalloy 79% core, providing high sensitivity, strong low-level detail, and the soft magnetic behaviour associated with classic high-nickel designs.
The coil is wound with tone in mind: vintage-style layer geometry, krep-paper insulation, and spacing methods that echo historical construction techniques. This preserves a period-correct character while maintaining the consistency and reliability needed in modern studios.
Together with the OTX47 output transformer, the ITX47 forms a complementary pair — a complete REDD-inspired signal path that blends the soul of the past with present-day stability and headroom.
